- When I retired in 2007 I realized my longtime goal of moving to New Mexico from Texas.I still love Texas but was irresistibly drawn here by the bluest of skies and beautiful mountains. I settled in Sandia Park minutes from the national forest. I am happy in my little mountain cabin with my three dogs:Atticus,Savannah and Beauray.When I am not making art,I like hiking with my hairy family. The focus of my work has always been animals and people. Many of the animals you see in my work have been my beloved pets. Animals, animals, animals!! I can't get enough of them! I love being in this area where I can visit various farms and look into their beautiful faces. Clay is the medium I use the most, but I love painting, drawing and printmaking as well. Through my work I express the love I feel for animals, nature and life in general. I also hope to communicate the joy of the creative process itself. My work involving the human form is often allegorical or based on Greek mythology and reflects feelings of peace and solitude. update: I am in Taos now and lovin' it!Moved here in Feb of 2014 I don't blog anymore.
